project report

We studied the physical characteristics and character of 10 horses/ponies of the Icelandic, Haflinger and Arabian breeds. Our findings were mostly in agreement with the literature and there were no major discrepancies. Furthermore, we conducted 5 different experiments with horses/ponies of each breed, such as overcoming barriers, searching for food in a box, picking apples from a bowl of water and searching for treats. Our observations include that Icelandic and Haflinger horses prefer to do little for getting food. We also wrote fact sheets describing horses/ponies of each breed.
