My goal was to construct a water tap that is based on osmotic pressure. This fully automatic osmotic water tap should function without control electronics. To achieve my goal, I looked into the theory of osmosis and then carried out preliminary tests, which were promising. However, many problems arose during the actual construction of the osmotic water tap that followed. My attempts based on a dialysis tube and my experiments with "osmosis dinosaurs" failed. The discovery of Water Pearls (10 grams of these small spheres can soak up 3 liters of water) finally lead to the successful construction of a working prototype of my opsmotic water tap.
